Ride A Pet Beginner Guide

Ride A Pet has one core loop: find eggs around the map, hatch them into pets, ride faster pets to reach rarer eggs, and repeat. Every pet has three stats that matter — Speed (how fast you move), Jump (how well you handle terrain), and Income (how much money it earns per second). Your mounted pet sets your movement speed, so upgrading it is the single most important progression step in the game.

How the Core Loop Works

The game is built around a speed snowball. A faster pet covers more map, more map coverage means more egg attempts, more attempts mean better pets, and better pets mean even more speed and income. Your first Snail moves at 15 speed; the endgame Kitsune reaches 1 billion. Everything you do should feed this loop.

• Eggs spawn as physical objects around the map — walk or ride up to pick one up.
• Once you grab an egg, you have roughly 20 seconds to bring it back to a nest at your base before it breaks.
• Place the egg in a nest slot, optionally spend cash to raise hatch luck, then wait for the hatch timer.
• The pet you get joins your collection and starts earning money. Equip the fastest one you own.

The Three Stats That Matter

Speed, Jump and Income do different jobs, and rarity does not automatically mean better in every category.

• Speed decides how much of the map you can farm — this is your progression stat.
• Jump matters for terrain and high egg spawn points like the Giant Tree canopy. The Spider, for example, only has 3,690 speed but a huge 129 jump.
• Income is how you fund hatches, luck upgrades and gear. If your goal is money, income is the stat to compare.

Do not replace a pet just because a rarer one dropped. Compare the actual stats first — a rare pet with tiny income gains may matter less to your progression than the money-maker you already ride.

Your First 30 Minutes

1. Hatch the starter nest beside spawn and mount your fastest result immediately.
2. Move outward from spawn in one direction and note where eggs appear — the closest nest is always beside the spawn point.
3. Upgrade off starter pets (Snail 15, Turtle 50, Sloth 90, Axolotl 165 speed) as soon as anything better hatches.
4. Learn one clean egg route instead of wandering randomly. Eggs per minute is the goal.
5. Once you can afford it, unlock more nest slots so multiple eggs hatch at once.
6. Spend cash on hatch luck while your route is running — luck multiplies what your eggs can produce.

Mid-Game Targets

After the starters, push toward the mid-game bracket: Chicken, Pig, Elephant, Panda, Kangaroo, Deer, Spider, Crocodile, Gorilla, Snake, Horse (5,340 speed / 350 income), Wolf (5,710 / 375) and Shark (6,100 / 400). These are the kinds of upgrades you want before chasing serious late-game pets. From there the milestones become Ostrich, Fox, Giraffe and Cheetah, then Unicorn at 137,000 speed.

The 5 Biggest Beginner Mistakes

• Staying on starter pets too long. They are a tutorial stage, not a farming setup.
• Ignoring income. Speed moves you around, but income pays for everything.
• Going AFK. Rare eggs announce server-wide and disappear fast — the Blackhole Egg won't wait.
• Rebirthing too early. If you cannot recover quickly after the reset, wait.
• Assuming rarity means better stats. Always compare speed, jump and income directly.

Map Zones You Should Learn

The map has four major zones: Overworld (the main hub with spawn, shops and the Mutation Ranch), Giant Tree (vertical platforming with hidden spots), Desert (open terrain, ridges and the Pyramid), and Waterfall (caves, bridges and aquatic sections). Knowing these areas matters because when something rare spawns, you do not want to spend half the event figuring out where you are.
